Daily Ag Direction 10/10/25

Grain markets opening in the red with the breakdown in US/China trade talks a prevailing headline as government shutdown has curtailed the usual flow of fundamental information. KC wheat posting a new contract low on the Dec amid bearish fundamentals and improving Black Sea weather. Corn slipping lower for fourth consecutive week, albeit within a tight trading range of 8 cents on the week. Beans are taking the blunt of trade talk negativity. The current scuffle centers on China closing off rare earth mineral exports to US which signifies a reescalation of April posturing. 

Dec corn is -2.5 at 4.15

Nov beans are -9.5 at 10.12

Dec KC wheat is -3 at 4.86

Jul '26 KC wheat is -3 at 5.37

Dec Chi wheat is -3.5 at 5.03

Jul '26 Chi wheat is -5 at 5.43

Oct feeders are -3.05 at 370.975

Oct live cattle are -0.125 at 234.900
