Daily Ag Direction 10/3/25
Very quiet overnight action in the grains with low volume and values mostly unchanged. Opening slightly weaker this morning. The government shutdown has slowed the flow of fundamental information to feed the markets, and weakness from the stocks report earlier this week has levelled off and been buffered by anticipation of trade talks with China which are still four weeks away. South American weather starting to pop back into the picture as corn planters roll in Argentina and Brazilian bean footprint forecast on the dry side for next 2 weeks. Brazilian bean exports looking robust with China accounting for a larger share year-on-year. Wheat remains a follower but has benefitted from the resiliance in the row crops.
